The elegant spiral of the nautilus inspired the setting for this wedding reception table, covered in shimmering taupe satin linens, designed by Pacific Aisles. A dramatic centerpiece of pearly nautilus shells overflowing with glorious pastel peonies and roses is the crowning glory of the table. Petite shells filled with roses adorn the gold Chiavari chairs. Bone china in soft ivory is offset by a contrasting ruby napkin. A meticulously cut nautilus shell holds a menu card backed with soft Japanese paper. The menu is appropriately accented by a small nautilus icon detailed with a single Swarovski crystal. Wooden chopsticks, a natural addition to an island wedding, are wrapped in Japanese paper and adorned with a shell bead. The same silvery, smooth shells serve as natural bouquet holders for a bridesmaid and flower girl wearing hand painted dupioni silk dresses by Poppy.
